Dom & Carrie Shorthouse
We have had a heart for SE Asia for many years. Carrie first visited the area in 2005, which is where we met. Dom gave his life to Jesus in Vietnam in 2007 and has wanted to go back ever since. We’ll be leaving Melbourne, our home of the last five years, at the end of 2013 to begin our ministry in Battambang.
We’ll be taking our two beautiful daughters Leyla and Myra with us. Initially, we’ll be studying for five months with Youth With a Mission. The Discipleship Training School will equip us with practical ministry tools as well as language and cultural awareness.
After that we’ll have the opportunity to serve God through working with women and children at risk, teaching English, training and teaching life and vocational skills, church planting and evangelism.
